In this instance, we are using Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile. Today we are going to take a look at one workflow for getting your images on Instagram using Lightroom Mobile. Smartphone shots can look great but the sheer diversity of images that can be achieved using mainstream camera equipment is what is going to garner attention to you. The fact is, to use Instagram as a social media marketing tool, you have to upload your mainstream images to it. The vast majority of images, certainly by experienced photographers, do not appear to have been captured on the humble smartphone. A quick trawl through Instagram today will suggest that this is no longer the case. The premise of Instagram was to display mobile phone images and spruce them up with various filter effects. Instagram, it's fun, it's powerful, it's a must use social media tool for photographers. If you use BOTH Lightroom & Instagram, you'd be silly not to read on…. It's a pain in the ass way around it but if it saves you hours of re-editing, it's worth a shot.If so, are you streamlining your social media sharing? This made it so that i could export full resolution files from Lightroom Classic with all the edits I had worked on from over the weekend. And then instead of reconnecting them to the DNGs, I connected them to the original RAW file. I then moved all the DNGs to a different folder (through Finder, not inside of Lightroom) so that I could prompt LR to give me the missing image error message. I opened a NEW (important that its new) LR Classic catalog and imported those DNGs so I could have access to the edits I made for each photo. I used Lightroom CC to access the work I had done over the weekend (for some reason LR CC is syncing fine to my computer but not lightroom classic) and from there, I exported the files as DNGs. I found one very ridiculous but slightly less time consuming work around. I'm having the same issue and came here looking to see if anyone had a solution (which unfortuantely no one does) - however, I'm commenting in case it helps you - I had the same issue of working on galleries during the thanksgiving break on just my iPad and having all that work not sync to LR classic.
